Long but interesting. Funny how politicians don’t always have an amazing grasp of the issues and consequences of their legislation. They latch onto a couple of stories or scenarios and that makes the whole thing ok.

To be fair to Tim it’s hard to keep track of what’s happening in the world of the internet and how the technology is being used by a younger generation and what ‘it/the technology’ means to them.
In my ideal world we would craft a solution that reflects the concerns of those worried about their livelihood, (the musicians/labels, etc), and those who are creating/using this technology in ways that are fundamentally new and powerful in a Schumpeter “Creative Destruction” kind of way.
